Recently, our Bratislava office hosted its very first Eggtastic Breakfast: a cozy in-office event featuring three different egg dishes, all made by our own colleagues (no professional chefs needed!). But these weren’t just any eggs—every one came from our own flock of happy, free-range chickens, raised in partnership with a sustainable farm in Gols, Austria. 🐔💛 

This isn’t just a quirky perk—it’s part of how we put our values into action. By supporting organic, ethical farming and bringing that quality directly to our teams, we’re turning sustainability into something personal, enjoyable, and meaningful. 

🌾 Meet the Flock Behind the Food 
Our Sulmtalers and Legehybrids roam freely across their more than 45,000m² own free-range lands, protected by sheep and pampered with mobile trailers. In 2024 alone, they laid 12,827 eggs—about 214 per Mercurtrade employee!

To top it off, the event featured an egg-themed trivia quiz with 13 cracking questions. Think you know your yolk from your shell? Try a few below and drop your guesses in the comments:

This was our first Eggtastic Breakfast—but not our last. The team loved it, and we’re already planning the next one. Because good food, shared stories, and a little trivia are always worth waking up for.
